NVLife 2025 study
Study approved by the Committee for the Protection of Persons North-West 1 (CPP)- No. 2405817000343
Presentation of the study
The Neurovascular Foundation in partnership with the University of Paris-Cité and NV Autisme association, will be doing a CPP approved clinical study aimed at exploring the impact of body and sensory support on the quality of life of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and their families, while respecting their diversity and integrity.
This free study for families is designed as a first step in observation to hopefully provide a solution for the core symptoms of ASD.
Objectives
The main objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the NVLife method in improving postural imbalances and its impact on reducing the core symptoms observed in autism spectrum disorders. The main hypothesis is that postural imbalances are one of the major causes of autism symptomatology. The study thus aims to assess whether improvement in postural imbalances leads to a significant reduction in symptoms associated with autism. For this purpose, tests will be carried out at the beginning and end of treatments, then 3 months after and again 6 months after. (study protocol summary)
Methodology
Two study groups:
Group 1: September 2025 - December 2025
Group 2: February 2026 - May 2026
The program includes:
Gentle manual techniques aims to reduce scar tissue
Sensorimotor exercises aims to improve posture and sensorimotor coordination
Relaxing baths at home to strengthen somatic well-being.
Evaluations
The balance sheets will focus on:
Behavioral and emotional dimensions: via a specialized clinical psychologist ASD
Balance, coordination and sensory functions: via a physiotherapist
Oculomotor evaluation: via an ophtamologist
All tests are natural and non-invasive.
Course of the study
Duration: 3 months of sessions,
24 sessions per participant
Initial assessment
Follow-up at 3 and 6 months after last session
Important:
No "detoxification" is targeted in this study. The relaxing baths offered are only intended to support sensory comfort and relaxation.
